Theme week: Sustainable Digital Everyday Life 25.5.-2.6.2024

Sustainable Digital Everyday Theme Week will take place in Turku during the last week of May (25.5.-2.6.). Join us to think about what sustainable digital everyday life is, how to promote it, and imagine what the sustainable digital everyday life of the future would look like. During the week there will be events at the Art House Turku, Turku Main Library, and Turku Book Café. More details can be found below and will be updated soon.

Events:

Sat 25.5. at 12-16 Recycling point for small goods and electric & electronic waste by Ekotori as part of Siivouspäivä flea market event (Turku Main Library, Linnankatu 2, courtyard)

27.5.-2.6. Images of the future -exhibition (Art House Turku, Nunnakatu 4)

27.5.-2.6. There will be events in different departments of the Turku Main Library, where you will have the opportunity to discover literature related to digital sustainability.

Tue 28 May at 18-21 Repair Café (Turku Book Café, Vanha Suurtori 3, Brinkkala courtyard)

Wed 29.5. at 17-18.30 Panel discussion: Digital technology and ecological sustainability (Turku Main Library, Linnankatu 2) (language: Finnish)

Thu 30.5. at 18.30 Movie screening of the Alternative Futures film series (Turku Book Café, Vanha Suurtori 3, Brinkkala courtyard)

All events are free and open to all ages.

The theme week is organised as part of the Research Council of Finland funded project Imagining Sustainable Digital Futures.
